My recline was cut when i got it and the delivery guy was not very helpful

I don't think I will buy anything else with the Magnolia store. The delivery guy was not helpful and the information he gave me was incorrect.

He tracked mud in my house. Also he ask if he could use the bathroom and I did not like that. I do not have a public restroom.

He drug my furniture across the room so he could get to my bathroom. I have my medication and I don't like for anyone to look at it.

Refund on WARRANTY

I purchased the XTRA WARRANTY 4 YRS AGO WHEN I PURCHASED SOME FURNITURE. WAS TOLD AFTER 4 YRS IF WARRANTY ISNT USED THEN WOULD BE REFUNDED.

GOT AN EMAIL TODAY AND WAS TOLD IT CAN ONLY BE USED AS IN STORE CREDIT.

I DONT NEED ANY FURNITURE. I WANT MY MONEY BACK THAT I GAVE THEM.

I am extremely disappointed with Ivan Smith Furniture in Longview, Texas. Back in December, we bought a large table and chairs set that included benches.

The salesperson was very enthusiastic and passionate about the warranty, assuring us that it would cover stains, burns, or any other damage. They promised that if they couldnt fix it, they would replace it. This was a significant factor in our purchase decision, especially since we have five children. We even extended the warranty for an additional four years at a cost of $250.

However, when we recently got stains on the furniture, our experience was far from what was promised.

We contacted Ivan Smith Furniture to address the stains, only to be told that they refused to clean them because they were caused during a gathering. This was never communicated to us at the time of purchase. Furthermore, we discovered that in order to file a claim, if four chairs get messed up at the same time, each chair requires a separate claim. This detail was also not shared with us.

Overall, the lack of transparency and failure to honor the warranty as described has been incredibly frustrating.

We feel misled and cheated out of the money we spent on an extended warranty that is essentially worthless. I would not recommend Ivan Smith Furniture to anyone based on our experience.

Wire smashed wire exposed

Today my double recliner controller stop working so I ended up moving it from wall to see what was going on then I seen that apparently the wire been pitched the whole time when it was sit up I only had it couple months I am assuming when they sit the couch up and slid it close to the wall the whole time the frame was on the wire i purchase it from Ivan smith in Alexandria Louisiana my name Bridget lowery now I cant reclined my couch need replacement

Racism from the cashier

On February 15, 2022 approximately 1pm, Everything was great with the salespersons Jay. But it went all down hill when it came time to pay.

The young female was showing her racism. She asked me for my drivers license, Ivan smith credit card, my debit card and another credit card and it needs not to be expired. I asked her why and she said it was because synchrony bank wants it. She had a very funky attitude as well.

If Im going to have to give blood and my first born, its not worth it. I really want the furniture but I do not need a cashier treating me like I couldnt afford the furniture. Ive been to several of your stores and Ive never been treated this way before ever. Shes a disgrace.

If SynchronyBank wants all this proof then Ivan smith should post it on their front door.

Synchrony bank denies the female employee cashier statement. I am a black female.

Since March 2021 My chair broke call Ivan Smith the to have it fixed and they sent someone out couple weeks later now it is August they just sent a second person to repair the chair and the chair is still broke I called to see if he could come back out because its broken I also asked just for another chair they said that they will get that one fix its not fixed

Bad Mattress

Technician came out for rude first of all. Right away he was trying to find discoloration in the mattress to VOID warranty.

$1200 spent on a mattress along with other furniture purchase from Ivan Smith and this how you treat your loyal customer.,, Just lost my business and I will be spreading the word about your way of doing shady business. Very very unhappy at this point

The co workers are terrible. One tells u he hasnt gotten paid in 6 months.

They tell u that u have too many wrinkles. They get in ur face (not once but twice),just to make their point. They steal ur deals. The worst part is the manager is hardly there but has commits about others calling sick.

I told manager about everything & he did nothing. Very stressful place to work. One lady in the office is very rude. She was taking pictures of herself with her iPhone but told the salesman she was too busy to check anyone out.

So LADIES be aware if u wanna go to work there. Be prepared to be harassed & dont expect the manager to believe you because that last 3 ladies that worked there before were treated the same way.

In October, my furniture was delivered, delivery team just put it in . I noticed how low this sofa sits, tried countless times on my own to move the sofa, which is very heavy(I need to be Popeye The Sailor Man ) to move this thing.

I was never told about me having to put the legs on this thing ...I'm 63 yrs. old... can't be done. Phoned Pines Rd store this morning, they gave me the run-a-round.

I didn't give them the run-a-round when I gave them my business. I want someone (with a drill)to come back to my residence and put the legs on this thing.

I should have made the Delivery Team take it back to the Warehouse anyway because when they were trying to get it up to my apartment they tried to go very the top of the banister and I think they damaged it because it sits unevenly. They soon saw that didn't work , then one of the semi-thinking geniuses decided to come up the stairs

Tresa, I work for Ivan Smith Furniture in the corporate office, and we would like to hear from you about this incident. I've tried searching through our service records for anyone named Tresa that had a service call on a mattress, and I only found one back in 2018.

Disappointed

I purchased two loveseats and two recliners two weeks ago and it was delivered last Friday. When going into the store I knew what we wanted and what would fit in my house.

I told the sales lady that I needed wall saver furniture. I showed her what living room furniture that I wanted. We sat down as we were trying to make up our minds. She assured us they were wall savers and could go against the wall and still recline so we spent Over $3000 on new furniture.

We had it delivered and we went to put it were we liked it in the living room. Come to find out they are not wall savers and now we have to have to put our two recliners a foot away from the walls so they can recline which has made my living room tiny. We would have never purchased these if they told us the truth about them not being wall savers. I think We can make the loveseat work but not the recliners.

All Im asking is to exchange the two recliners for the couch. Please help
